KOREN has actively engaged in the APAN community through Engineering Workshops, technical working groups, and network demonstrations. This sustained participation has strengthened partnerships with regional NRENs and created opportunities for Korean researchers to conduct international collaborative research and technology validation.
Through its international connections to APAN and TEIN, KOREN provides Korean researchers with high-speed access to global research infrastructures, enabling large-scale scientific data transfer, remote experiments, and cross-border collaboration.
The knowledge and operational experience gained through APAN activities have been directly reflected in KOREN's research infrastructure. This includes expanding international connectivity, enhancing research testbeds, and supporting emerging research areas such as AI, 6G, Open RAN (O-RAN).
KOREN will continue to strengthen collaboration with global NRENs and contribute to building an open and interoperable research ecosystem that accelerates international research and innovation.
